Jimmy Duran
Background
I've spent more than 25 years doing what I genuinely love—helping brands solve problems through creativity. Along the way, I've had the opportunity to work with incredible people, build talented teams, and contribute to campaigns for global brands across a wide range of industries and cultures.
What has always fascinated me most is understanding people. The best ideas don't come from trends or clever headlines—they come from understanding what motivates someone, what they care about, and how a brand can create a meaningful connection with them. That's the part of the process that still excites me every day.
I'm also naturally curious about what's next. Over the past few years, I've embraced AI as an extension of the creative process, using tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, Runway, and Canva to explore ideas faster, improve collaboration, and spend more time thinking strategically instead of getting caught up in repetitive tasks.
More than anything, I enjoy working with people who challenge each other, share ideas openly, and aren't afraid to rethink the way things have always been done. I believe great creative work comes from a combination of curiosity, collaboration, and a willingness to keep learning—and after all these years, that's still what motivates me the most.
Hobbies
I'm passionate about snowboarding, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, road cycling, hiking, traveling the world, pickleball, drawing, and movies. According to my wife, I have about a million other hobbies—but I'll keep the list short.

Fighting technology is probably one of the fastest ways to kill creativity. From being able to bring ideas to life in seconds to optimizing work in real time, AI has completely changed the creative process for me. Personally, AI has become my new creative partner, helping me bring to life everything my imagination can think of. I’m excited to be living in the age of AI.
My take on AI?
Canva – I mainly use Canva to speed up high-volume content production, rapid mockups, and quick presentation visuals. It helps streamline repetitive tasks and allows ideas to move faster from concept to execution.
Midjourney – I use Midjourney during the ideation phase to quickly visualize concepts, mood directions, campaign aesthetics, and cinematic storytelling before moving into production.
Runway – I use Runway to experiment with motion, storytelling, and fast video prototyping. It’s become a valuable tool for bringing ideas to life quickly while maintaining a strong visual quality.
Claude – I use Claude as a creative and strategic thinking partner for brainstorming ideas, refining messaging, developing presentations, structuring case studies, and helping organize complex creative concepts into clear narratives.
